Eagle Express Quad
Green: Bunny Hop and Old road, these two are long time favourites of all Marmot Basin skiers and snowboarders. Gentle, winding runs with lots of room for turns and Marmot Basin groomers keep these in tip top shape. Both of these feed into the top of School House, the dedicated learning area with its own triple chair lift.
Blue: Tranquilizer or “tranq” as known by most, is an awesome wide open cruiser that’s fun at high speeds or low speeds. Make this one part of your day.
Black: Lift Line and Spillway are great for advanced skiers, with great pitches and often some great bumps. A fun run on the way back to the lodge.
Canadian Rockies Express Quad
Green: Well, it’s Basin Run or nothing, Green skiers up here want to be comfortable turning left and right and stopping confidently. Go with someone who knows the area so you don’t end up on something you would rather not ski.
Blue: Paradise! This run is aptly named, big, wide open and always great conditions. Ride this one for sure!
Black: Highway 16 and anywhere across the face under the chairs are great fun! You can rip it or make zillions of short turns until your legs burst into flames. This is some of the best Marmot Basin has to offer.
Eagle Ridge Chair
Green: Like all chairs at Marmot there’s an “easy” way down, this time it’s Easy Street, a long gentle turner with some great viewpoints along the way.
Blue: There’s only a few up here, but they are very worthwhile coming to see. Solace and Fresh Tracks are some great runs with some steeper sections with good run outs below to briefly challenge then relieve the blue Rider. These are great runs with built in Fun!
Black & Double Black: Well, if you’re looking for a challenge this is it! All of Eagle East is Epic! Drop in here after a big dump and you’ll be in heaven. Watch the gates as they close at 3:45pm! Feel like a hike? There’s Thunder Bowl and Cornice straight ahead. Thunder is an easy walk about 10 mins up the hill.
Knob Chair
“Experts Only” is what the sign says as you board the chair. If you qualify you will love the runs up here! If you don’t, you won’t! From Bumps to chutes to hikes, this area has it all. Come fresh, leave hungry and tired!
