About Lake Louise Ski Resort

Lake Louise is the biggest resort in the Canadian National Parks. You have four mountain faces with over 4,200 acres of pure Canadian mountain goodness. This place truly gives you a “resort” feel. There’s a reason the world cup ski tour makes Lake Louise a race site. The addition of the Summit Quad Chair (replacing the Summit Platter) now allows easier access to explore the vast 480 acres of new terrain in the West Bowl as well as the back bowls. This year there is a new Juniper Express Quad located near the Whiskey Jack Lodge that will bring guests to three new runs and maximize the appeal to Intermediate and Beginner riders.

Favourite Runs

Grizzly Express Gondola
This is a very civilized way to reach the top of Lake Louise. It can be miserable outside and the gondola offers a respite from the elements. You are whisked to the top of the front side with many glorious options.
Green: You will love the wide open runs of Lake Louise. Eagle Meadows feeds you down toward the Whitehorn Lodge where you will have several other big wide open green cruisers to choose from. Be aware that green here may be different than what you’re used to.
Blue: A short traverse delivers you to Race Pitch which will take you down past the White horn lodge. Here you should make a hard right and get on the top of the world six pack chair where there are big juicy blue runs abound!
Black: A short traverse for some spectacular black to double black terrain. Any of the chute runs will get your blood running. Then as you reach the Whitehorn you can lap the upper mountain from the Top of the World or hit Mens or Ladies downhill for some ripping terrain.

Top of The World Express
Green: Don’t go here. There is a way down, but you’ll like the Glacier Express quad way better.
Blue: This is your chair! You will love the awesome big blue runs here. There’s enough to challenge your skills without scaring yourself! Bring your camera too, because the views up here are awesome!
Black: There’s a bunch of goodies for you here too. This chair makes for great group skiing, blue runs and black runs all ending back at the same chair. Fun for everyone.

Glacier Express Quad
Need to make some quick laps? This is the chair for you. Every type of skier will find a gem off this chair. The Wiwaxy 500 starts off this chair. A huge wide open green run for a gentle yet fun trip back to the base. For the black and blue riders there are a few great ripper runs from this chair. Need laps? Ride this!
